Irish company, Kelly RAC was founded in 1990 and has since become an HVAC and refrigeration specialist. Establishing itself as an industry leader in Ireland, Kelly RAC operates in a number of sectors including retail, education and healthcare.

With a dedicated team of HVAC engineers, Kelly RAC offers nationwide services, providing its customers with maintenance support 24/7 all year round. Currently, 50% of Kelly RAC’s staff are using Joblogic, which is split between its engineers and back-office staff.

Why did they choose Joblogic?

Kelly RAC has been using Joblogic for two years, having used another management system beforehand. Compliances and Training Manager, Helen Kelly, highlighted the need for her business to be able to track refrigerant gas use effectively. This was a feature their previous software provider did not offer, so her and her team began to look elsewhere. Joblogic’s F-Gas tracking module was one of the standout features for Helen, which has significantly helped her engineers who deal with refrigerant gas on a daily basis. 

Once Helen had a demonstration of the software and understood how the system could help her team, she was eager to get started. With the help of the live planner, Helen has simplified the task of job scheduling, and can ensure that the right engineer is allocated to each task. This has allowed Helen to deliver a far more productive schedule to her engineers.

What has been the biggest positive change?

Joblogic’s HVAC software has helped Kelly RAC save both time and money on a daily basis. The biggest change, however, has been the boost in the team’s productivity. Since implementation, not only are the best-suited engineers allocated to jobs, but they can keep the office up to date with status changes in the field using their mobile device. Joblogic’s mobile engineer app enables field staff to enter notes, timesheets and parts, as well as capture photos and signatures. All of these tasks are completed electronically, eliminating the risk of human error associated with pen and paper methods.

Which features have been most beneficial?

Kelly RAC has also saved time with purchase ordering by giving engineers the ability to select parts that are needed on-site from a full parts library on their mobile device. This alerts the back office that parts are required and they can instantly raise the purchase order.

The software allows multiple people to log and view jobs at the same time. Helen and her team can see the status of each job in real-time as it progresses from creation to completion. Joblogic keeps both customers and management informed on job progress and an invoice can be sent instantly on completion.

Joblogic’s asset management has helped Kelly RAC significantly in its recording and reporting. Details of each asset can be easily recorded by engineers on-site which are then sent to the back-office and added to a fully comprehensive asset register. This gives management easy access to asset information and histories, as well as reducing the time-consuming administrative burden in the process.
