Hampshire-based company Vigil Fire & Security Ltd. has established itself as an expert in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of fire and security equipment. The 18-year-old company operates in various sectors including local authorities, retail and commercial businesses.
Operating throughout Europe and covering 29 countries, Vigil’s team of experienced engineers offer a 24/7 365-day call-out service. 80% of Vigil’s staff currently use Joblogic on a daily basis which has since become a crucial part of their operations.
Thanks to Joblogic we can drill down easily on jobs and quotes. The software also links easily to accounting software, which reduces a lot of the information needing to be input manually.
Vigil has been using Joblogic for 5 months after signing up in May. Vigil had previously been using a different management software system, but Office Manager, Julie Pickin was keen to find a new solution after encountering problems. Julie explained that the system was server-based which made remote working difficult. Another issue Julie highlighted was the poor quoting module, which didn’t allow her team to easily convert a quote to a job.
Julie and her team looked at several software systems before discovering Joblogic, which ticked all of her boxes in terms of capabilities and features. Julie had free trial of the software and was keen to subscribe to Joblogic after the 30 days had ended. Julie was especially impressed with the mobile app, which allowed her engineers to receive and accept jobs on the go, as well as capture required photos and signatures while on site.
Julie has been pleased with the cost-saving capabilities of Joblogic’s security equipment software. She has helped the business save resources by allocating jobs directly to her field staff using the mobile engineer app. The biggest change Julie identified since implementing Joblogic has been the ease at which quotes can be converted into jobs. This has removed a considerable admin burden and saved valuable time as there is no longer the need to re-enter information already recorded against the quote.
Joblogic's mobile engineer app has given Vigil live, two-way communication between the back office and engineers. Jobs can be deployed to engineers who can update job information instantly in the field. This helps to ensure all paperwork is correctly completed and legible.
Joblogic's Account Integration has eliminated the need for accounting information to be input manually, ensuring that there are no potential miscalculations. With access to current job costing information, Vigil have eliminated the double entry of data as well as potential mistakes.
Joblogic’s quoting functionality ties in seamlessly with upgrading to a job, raising purchase orders and invoicing. This enables Vigil to streamline many of its processes and helps to consolidate information.
